The tour is conducted at a gentle pace and there is usually some sets of stairs which we can help you navigate if you have a pram.

A: If we told you... we would have to kill you... (just kidding). The tour starts and finishes in Federation Square. In between, we showcase some of Melbourne's diverse urban environment. We visit some parklands, the river and civic spaces as well as the famed lane ways and arcades. We also try to highlight some of the current projects which may be on in the city during your visit. This means that the route does vary accordingly. Rest assured that we will offer you a comprehensive highlight in a walk which is usually around 4 kilometres.

A: Of course it is. Come on the tour and find out why.
After years of aimlessly wandering the globe, Dave Carswell was fed up with telling the world how great Melbourne is... He wanted to show them. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and local perspective, Dave wanted to create a relaxed and friendly experience that made you feel like you were being shown around by a friend.
Melbourne By Foot was conceived in December 2009 and the tours were designed to not only highlight the sites of the city, but to provide guests with an insight into things to do in Melbourne. We pride ourselves on our expert local knowledge and we are more than happy to tell you where you can go to eat, drink, look and listen like a Melburnian. If you aren't a local, then we want you to feel like one.
Our city has a unique urban environment and Melbourne walking tours are the best way to explore. Looking for a Melbourne day tour? Please contact Melbourne By Foot and let us know when you want to indulge in our city.
