Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions we are often asked about our tours.
If there is something not covered here, feel free to contact us.
Who is the tour suited to?
We have run tours to all age groups from younger children to those in their late 60s. We try to cover a range of topics which means there is certainly something in it for everyone. It is a walking tour so we ask that you have a reasonable level of fitness. The tour is conducted at a gentle pace and there is usually some sets of stairs that we can help you navigate if you have a pram. We deliberately keep our tour sizes capped at 12 to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of everyone on the tour.
Where does the tour go? How far is it?
If we told you... we would have to kill you... (just kidding). Our daily Cultural Walk starts and finishes in Federation Square. In between, we showcase some of Melbourne's diverse urban environment. We visit some parklands, the river and civic spaces as well as the famed laneways and arcades. We also try to highlight some of the current projects which may be on in the city during your visit. This means that the route does vary accordingly. Rest assured that we will offer you a comprehensive highlight in a walk which is usually around 4 kilometres.
When do the tours run?
Our Cultural Walk operates daily at 1pm.
What should I bring on the tour?
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for all weather - this is important! A small umbrella or spray jacket will be handy if rain is forecast, even if it looks sunny. Sunscreen, a hat and bottle of water are also essentials, especially during the warmer months.
Are private tours available?
Yes. Small and large groups can be catered for. Please use the contact details on our website to discuss your request.
Is Melbourne better than Sydney?
Of course it is. Come on a tour and find out why.
