“I wanted local expertise for our school children and for them to be able to build a picture of Melbourne in their mind. It was important that the tour engaged with the students with historical aspects of the city including the Koorie heritage The tour was perfectly pitched to our specific class groups and I would recommend to any classroom teacher conducting a unit study on Melbourne.”

“This tour came recommended to us from another friend. We wanted to provide our social club members with a relaxed morning tour and to gain some knowledge on Melbourne’s history. All members walked away with a greater appreciation of the city that some had lived in all their lives. The street art and 19th century architecture were highlights for most. We would definitely recommend this tour to other social groups and friends.”

"We required a tour that was going to provide a tailored educational program for our students and Melbourne By Foot was able to accommodate our needs. The most important aspect of the tour was to introduce and familiarise the students with different types of art displayed in Melbourne. Dave was our fabulous tour guide, he was able to engage the students by asking them questions and providing them with historic information on Aboriginal and contemporary art practices. The students enjoyed the creative techniques used by street artists (paste ups, stencils) and were familiar with some of the artists' work. We had two positive experiences with Melbourne By Foot and I would recommend them to other teachers who want to take school groups on a walking tour to visit Melbourne's iconic art."

“We chose Melbourne By Foot as an alternative team building exercise away from our work environment. The afternoon highlighted “off the beaten track” places and many things that were in our own backyard. We found the tour to be interesting and engaging and would recommend it to other work and social groups.”
